Location: Hyderabad one of the regional branches of Akash Group of Companies
Time: A late August morning, cloudy skies with light drizzle outside
---
The glossy black car halted outside the regional branch. An assistant ran forward with an umbrella, but Akash was already out tall, sharp-suited, eyes like steel scanning the building.
He didn't visit branches often. But this one was under review for an upcoming merger and Akash didn't like flaws.
His presence sent a quiet storm across the office. Everyone stiffened. Laptops clicked faster. Whispered warnings:
"The boss is here. Akash sir. THE DEVIL 😈😈"
Nitya, sitting quietly in the far corner desk for once..... she usually worked from home; closed her notepad calmly.
She hadn't expected him here today. Her shift at the branch was rare just for a few team sync-ups. But here he was. The man she had once known on a night she could never forget.
She didn't flinch, though her breath caught for a second when she saw him.
He walked past her. His eyes brushed hers for a moment. Nothing.
No spark of recognition. No pause. No heartbeat skipped.
Just a polite nod as if she were any other employee in the room.
And why would he recognise her?
That night was years ago.
Her face was in shadows then.
And the only thing he seemed to remember... was a birthmark he'd never get to see again unless fate played a strange game.

Branch Manager: "Sir, would you like to meet the creative software team? Nitya handles some of the interface work."
Akash: (glancing down at his tablet) "Fine. Make it quick."

Nitya stood as they approached. Calm. Professional. The fire of her past was buried under layers of poise.
She didn't speak unless asked. He nodded as she displayed her screen briefly — voice soft, measured. No falter.
Akash listened, approved the module, and moved on.
Still... something in her voice tugged at him.
He turned once, casually — saw her typing again, lips pressed thoughtfully, eyes distant.
Familiar? Maybe. But he brushed it off.

That night, Nitya returned home, changed into a kurti, and picked up little Dhruv from the daycare nearby. He ran into her arms giggling, sticky with jam from snack time.
"Ammaaa, teacher said I painted best!"
She smiled, kissed his forehead, and whispered,
"Of course you did, my little lion."

Meanwhile, in his suite, Akash sat near the window with a drink in hand, the city blinking below.
His thoughts were restless.
Not about numbers. Not about shares.
About a voice... a presence... that felt like déjà vu.
He closed his eyes.
And in the depths of his memory, that night flickered again skin against skin, warmth, the shape of a birthmark under his touch. Moans filling the room; the sweet pleasure smell making both of them dizzy
As he is slowly entering into her the acceptance she showed even though she unfamiliar was unexpressive
Her every move against him made an epic war between both; her curves! Still, he can feel them on his hands even though years have passed
Akash threw the glasses in his hand forcefully against the wall, shouting out loud, "Who are you!! My angel; came into my life without a single sign and threw me into hell!"
He couldn't remember her face.
Only how she made him feel that night complete... before vanishing by morning.
